Ever wonder why so few people reach their goals and make their dreams come true?
There are reasons.
It’s because they actually HAVE goals. Goals that are written down. The vast majority of people on this planet do not. If it is floating around in your head, it’s a wish, not a goal. Rarely do wishes come true.
You put it on paper with a deadline, it becomes a goal. A tangible TARGET. This give you the ability to take aim and FIRE.
Without a target you are just randomly firing and hoping….no, wishing….. to hit something. If you aim at nothing, chances are you’ll hit nothing.
After that you can create a plan to make sure they make things happen.
So…….where does that leave you?
Do you keep telling yourself you are going to “lose some weight?” (Wishing)
Or do you have specific goals and a plan to get you there? (Aiming)
Do you have a plan for what you’re going to eat each day so you don’t wind up hitting the drive thru? Do you have a deadline for when you’re going to reach your goal? Do you have a support system in place, like the Nashville Kettlebell Bootcamp classes??
How about this one:
Friday May 28th 2010…..also know as Memorial Day Weekend. This is the “official” start of summer for most people. Alwyn Cosgrove calls it “the great “unveiling” – when the shirts come off, the swimsuits go on and the entire world knows exactly how good or bad your dieting and exercising was for the last 3-4 months. Some people call it Judgement Day.
Whatever you call it, it is 12 weeks away from NOW. Write down a goal for yourself TODAY. Start taking action on it TODAY.
It is YOUR life. Whether you want to look better naked, get stronger, improve your health……whatever your goal is, you MUST have written goals and a plan to achieve them. Otherwise they are just wishes and wishes don’t come true.
